Emerton aims to match Kewell

Blackburn’s new signing Brett Emerton has high hopes he can match the impact compatriot Harry Kewell has had on the Premier League.

The Australian international was unveiled by Rovers today, alongside latest signing Rangers defender Lorenzo Amoruso, and he revealed he turned down offers from a number of other clubs to become part of manager Graeme Souness’ plans at Ewood Park.
