This Dublin derby failed to live up to its billing as the big Richmond Park crowd were given a poor spectacle.

Jason Byrne shot wide early on for Shels before St. Pat's created the best chance of the first half a minute before the break.

Karim El Khebir set up Ketih Fahy who brought a fine save from Shels' keeper Steve Williams with David Crawley completing the clearance.

Shels' Richie Baker had the clearest opening of the second half but fired over the top as the game petered out to a disappointing conclusion.
