United told to up Ronaldinho offer
Manchester United have today been told they will have to fork out a staggering £31m (€44.5m) if they want to sign Ronaldinho.
The British transfer record bombshell has been dropped by Francis Graille, president of Ronaldinho’s French club, Paris St Germain.
United were understood to be close to a deal for the Brazil star, with chief executive Peter Kenyon apparently having already agreed personal terms.
United were also believed to have made a bid of £14m (€20.1m), but Graille claims he has yet to receive an offer from Old Trafford.
More astonishingly, it would appear PSG are now demanding more than double that figure from United if they want Ronaldinho now.
Graille is also piling pressure on the Old Trafford hierarchy by claiming Real Madrid and Barcelona have both submitted offers.
