St. Pat's avenged their defeat at the RSC in style to move back up to third in the table.

Saints ran the match from the start and were full value for their 2-0 interval lead.

The opener came on 27 minutes when Tony Bird began and then finished off a three man move when flicking home Keith Fahy's cross for his seventh goal of the season.

Skipper Colm Foley then headed home the second from Anthony Murphy's cross five minutes before the break.

David Freeman added a third goal from Tony Bird's cross on 61 minutes before Daryl Murphy pulled one back for Blues a minute later.

Freeman then sealed the win on 82 minutes with a stunning header from Fahy's corner.
