Alex Ferguson will not stand in the way of Carlos Queiroz being appointed manager of Real Madrid.

Real president Florentino Perez has confirmed the Old Trafford number two tops his list of potential successors to Vicente del Bosque, who lost his job on Monday, just 24 hours after securing the Spanish title.
