Khizanishvili wants move to boost career

Dundee defender Zura Khizanishvili believes a move to Rangers will provide a boost to his burgeoning international career.

The Georgia international is the subject of a firm offer by Rangers, whose possible entry into the Champions League next season is a major incentive for the 21-year-old.

Khizanishvili told the Scottish Daily Express: “I really want to play for Glasgow Rangers and that, for me, is the most possible option.

“Sporting Lisbon also want to sign me and there is interest from England but I’m not sure about Tottenham because I haven’t heard anything from them.

“I still have a few things to consider but, in my mind, I have already decided I want to move to Rangers.

“Glasgow Rangers have a very famous history and they are known all over the world.

“Playing for such a top club should also help enhance my international career.

“They are Scotland’s best team and they will be playing in the Champions League next season.

“That is the biggest competition in club football and playing on that stage can only help me develop and improve as a player.”
