Cork go through to League Cup semi
Cork City 2 Waterford United 0
Robbie Hedderman scored his first goal for Cork to set them on their way to an eircom League Cup semi-final.
Hedderman struck for the opener in a poor quarter-final at Turner's Cross eleven minutes into the second half.
George O'Callaghan sent over a second successive corner and midfielder Hedderman timed his run to perfection to arrive at the back post and power a firm header past Pat Holden.
John O'Flynn hit City's second goal deep in stoppage time, rounding Holden before shooting between the legs of Thomas Hughes on the line.
