Joan Laporta has been elected as the new president of Barcelon FC.

Joan Laporta has been elected as the new president of Barcelon FC.

More than 90% of the votes have been counted and it appears to have been a landslide victory for Laporta.

This clears the way for him to try and conclude the transfer of David Beckham from Manchester United.
