Rooney wins England start

Wayne Rooney was handed his second England start as the only change to Sven-Goran Eriksson’s England line-up to face Slovakia at the Riverside in Middlesbrough.

Rooney came into the attack alongside Michael Owen at the expense of Emile Heskey for the Euro 2004 qualifier.
