Language barrier had Rio snookered

England defender Rio Ferdinand has claimed he cannot believe the fuss caused by a late-night incident involving hotel maintenance staff in La Manga.

The Manchester United player and Chelsea’s John Terry were reported to have been playing pool in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the Spanish resort at about 3.30am when an alleged dispute took place with two members of the hotel staff.
