Celtic keepers on the mend
Celtic’s goalkeeping crisis is set to be eased with both Rob Douglas and Magnus Hedman on the verge of a return to fitness.
Scotland international Douglas was struggling with a thigh injury, but will resume training later this week.
Former Coventry number one Hedman has been fighting against injury problems all season, but will play in an Under-21 game today in a bid to prove his fitness for the UEFA Cup final next week.
Striker John Hartson is making slow progress in his battle for fitness against a back injury.
The Welsh international started running again today and will be monitored by Parkhead medical staff.
Winger Steve Guppy was expected to be out for the rest of the season following a double hernia operation.
But the former Leicester man will also play this afternoon in a bid to prove his fitness for the final against FC Porto.
Chris Sutton, Johan Mjallby and Joos Valgaeren all came through the 1-0 victory over Hearts without any adverse reaction.
But winger Bobby Petta has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign after sustaining an ankle injury in training.
