Bird brace earns Saints the spoils

Tony Bird hit a brace as St. Pat's turned this game on its head to move up to fourth in the table.

Mark Quinless put Drogheda in front on 19 minutes following a cleverly worked free kick.

But the inspired Keith Fahy had Saints level on 58 minutes with a stunning free kick after he had been fouled.

Bird then blasted home from a cross to put St. Pat's in front on 63 minutes.

A defensive blunder gifted Bird his second ten minutes later.
