A defensive mistake by Derek Coughlan, when his back pass fell short, gifted Derry their opener on 26 minutes with Padraig Moran capitalising to shoot home.
Bohs battled back and levelled four minutes after the restart. Skipper Kevin Hunt worked the opening and Stephen Caffrey arrived to finish.
