Flo to stay at Sunderland says agent
Tore Andre Flo is set to stay with Sunderland next season, according to his agent.
The Wearside club are expecting an exodus of players following their relegation from the top flight, but Gunnar Martin Kjenner insists the 29-year-old striker will not be one of them.
“I haven’t heard anything from other clubs so Tore Andre is now completely set to stay at Sunderland next season,” Kjenner said.
Flo joined the Black Cats from Rangers in a deal worth £10m (€14m) which also saw striker Marcus Stewart join the club from Ipswich in August, but has not been the prolific scorer Sunderland needed – netting just four league goals.
However, Kjenner insists the player is happy to stay at the Stadium of Light.
“Tore Andre oesn’t regret moving clubs, and it would be wrong to give him the blame for Sunderland’s weak season. The whole team have been disappointing.
“He has two years left on his contract at Sunderland and wants to see them through. We haven’t discussed what will happen after that.”
