Lambert 'sickened' by Cowen injury

Paul Lambert has admitted to being sickened by David Cowan’s horror injury - but only after realising that it was not the Motherwell youngster’s shinpad that had been snapped.

The Celtic skipper’s innocuous 19th-minute challenge on the 21-year-old took some off the gloss off his two-goal inspired 4-0 victory at Fir Park, which took the champions back to the top of the Bank of Scotland Premier League for the first time since December.
