Rovers knock Cork City off the top
Shamrock Rovers 2 Cork City 1
Robbie Hedderman scored an 87th minute own goal on his debut as Rovers came from behind to knock Cork off the top of the table.
Steven Gough's cross was missed by City keeper Michael Devine and the ball struck substitute Hedderman to enter the net.
While Rovers wasted several chances, Cork scored with their only shot on target in the first half to take a 22 minutes lead.
Dan Murray's ball forward was helped on by George O'Callaghan to John O'Flynn and he surprised Rovers' keeper Barry Ryan to beat him with a low 20-yarder.
Rovers were better from the resumption and levelled on 59 minutes when Stephen Grant headed home Glen Lacey's cross from the right.
