Alan Reilly hit a hat-trick as the newly-promoted Blues made it two wins on the spin.

Winger Reilly struck for the opener on 35 minutes from the penalty spot after St Pat's keeper Chris Adamson clumsily took down Vinny Sullivan.

Adamson was beaten again on the hour when Reilly took Thomas Hughes' cross to go past Karim El Khabir to shoot home.

St Pat's pulled one back when Tony Bird fired home the rebound after new Blues' keeper Dan Connor could only parry a Colm Foley header.

Reilly completed his hat-trick to put the Blues 3-1 up on 81 minutes when converting his second penalty after he had been pulled down by Robbie McGuinness.

Bird then got his second from a Keith Fahy free kick three minutes later.

But Wayne Fitzgerald put the seal on Blues' win with their forth goal in stoppage time.
