Top Premiership stars have gone for the draw in a new campaign to kick racism out of football.

They have revealed their artistic side by drawing self-portraits or pictures of fellow players to raise money for the cause.

Goalkeeper David James produced a colourful sketch of England team-mate Rio Ferdinand.

Birmingham City’s Welsh star Robbie Savage drew himself next to his beloved Aston Martin, while Aussie Hayden Foxe – who plays for newly promoted Portsmouth - is joined by Skippy the kangaroo in his self-portrait.

Blackburn’s Alan Kelly chose to draw a picture of his team-mate, “wing wizard” Damien Duff. The Republic of Ireland star appears as Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, complete with pointy hat and wizard’s cape.

Other Premiership players who have come up with their very own works of art include Bolton’s Ivan Campo and Chelsea’s John Terry.

Clubs from the lower divisions are also involved, with creative contributions from the likes of Nottingham Forest and Millwall.

One of the best efforts comes from assistant Tottenham boss John Gorman, with his pencil drawing of players Ledley King, Stephen Carr and Kazuyuki Toda.

The pictures are to be raffled by kids’ TV channel Nickelodeon as part of its Footy Week, which begins on Monday. All proceeds will go to the Kick Racism Out Of Football campaign.

Fans can view the artworks at www.nick.co.uk/footweek from today.
