Vieira on track to face United
Patrick Vieira is expected to be fit to lead Arsenal in their title showdown with Manchester United at Highbury tomorrow.
The Frenchman sustained a knee injury during his side’s FA Cup semi-final victory against Sheffield United last Sunday.
However, Wenger insisted: “Patrick should be all right, although we will make the final decision tomorrow.”
The Arsenal boss revealed that Ray Parlour is a slight doubt with a hamstring injury, while Robert Pires is back in the squad after an ankle problem.
With Fredrik Ljungberg recapturing his best form, Wenger will therefore have to decide whether to select Parlour, Pires or Sylvain Wiltord on the other flank.
Otherwise, Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Gilberto Silva are all poised to return after being rested from the starting line-up at Old Trafford.
Provisional squad: Seaman, Taylor, Warmuz, Lauren, Cole, Luzhny, Campbell, Keown, Cygan, Stepanovs, Vieira, Gilberto Silva, Edu, Parlour, Wiltord, Ljungberg, Pires, Toure, van Bronckhorst, Henry, Bergkamp, Jeffers, Kanu.
