Reid says no to Intertoto

Caretaker Leeds boss Peter Reid has backed predecessor Terry Venables’ decision not to enter the Intertoto Cup.

The tournament was Leeds’ only possible route into the UEFA Cup but Venables chose not to enter and Reid agrees, fearing that participation would harm next season’s Barclaycard Premiership campaign.
