Ferguson: Keane OK for United-Arsenal clash

Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has said he expects former Irish international Roy Keane to be fit to face Arsenal in Wednesday night's crucial showdown at Highbury.

Keane was substituted after hurting his leg in Saturday's win over Newcastle, which put United three points clear of the Gunners at the top of the Premiership table.

However, speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Ferguson said: "Roy should be OK. There is some bruising after a dead leg, but hopefully he will be alright."

The United manager is still facing a selection headache, however, with David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Wes Brown all suffering with hamstring strains and John O'Shea nursing a knee injury.

Goalkeeper Fabian Barthez will also have a foot injury assessed today after stubbing his toe against Newcastle.
