World Youth finals rescheduled for November

FIFA have rescheduled the World Youth Championship finals for November in the United Arab Emirates.

The finals were due to be held there at the end of March until mid-April but were postponed due to the situation in Iraq.

It was always the intention of FIFA to stage the event in the Emirates.

The finals will now run from November 27 until December 19, 2003.

The Republic of Ireland are in Group E with Saudi Arabia, Mexico and the Ivory Coast.
