Becks checking out schools in Madrid
Manchester United’s Spanish goalkeeper Ricardo claims David Beckham has been questioning him about the quality of schools in Madrid.
United boss Alex Ferguson has dismissed speculation linking Beckham with a move to Real Madrid as an attempt by the Spanish giants to unsettle the player ahead of tonight’s Champions League quarter final first leg tie at the Bernabeu.
But the Evening Standard report that Ricardo, speaking on the Spanish football programme The Day After on Canal+, said: “I often ask David: ‘Are you coming to Spain one day, do you fancy it?’
“And a couple of days ago when I asked him if he was going to move to Real Madrid this summer he started asking me questions about the quality of primary schools in Madrid. I told him that the schools there are the best in the world.
“I’ve got to know David quite well and beyond being a fantastic footballer he’s a very normal friendly guy around the club.
“There is no doubt he would be the icing on the cake at Madrid – if he moved there they would have everything.”
