European football's governing body gave the Liechtenstein FA (LFV) until 11am this (Monday) morning to provide written safety guarantees amid security concerns caused by the war in Iraq.

The authorities in the principality are worried about possible anti-war demonstrations timed to coincide with the game which is already severely taxing local police resources.

Officers have been drafted in from neighbouring Austria and Switzerland for a match which is expected to attract many more England fans than the 900 allocated tickets.
