Rangers win will guarantee title - De Boer
Rangers midfielder Ronald de Boer is convinced the club will take the Premier League title if they can defeat Celtic on Saturday.
The Dutchman is determined to shake off a calf injury to force his way into the team for the short trip to Parkhead along with defender Maurice Ross, who has overcome a hamstring problem.
De Boer said: “We are doing well so far and it’s just important that we keep going so that there isn’t a negative atmosphere.
“We’ve made it this far and we’re doing fine and we have to keep that going against Celtic.
“It’s such an important game and will be crucial for the next stage of the competition if we win.
“It will be a difficult game and a draw would be fine. But we want to win all our games and, if we can win this one, it will be great because the title is almost in our hands.
“But we will have to raise our game because Celtic are a great team and, if we want to win against them, we have to lift our level to the highest level.”
De Boer added: “I’ve been on the scoresheet twice against them this season and I hope to score at Parkhead on Saturday.
“I’ve been feeling good fitness-wise this season and I think that’s why I’m playing so well.
“Fitness has been great and I haven’t really had to think about my body which has been important.”
Scotland international Ross is also determined to make his return to action at Parkhead after missing the last three games.
Ross told www.rangers.co.uk: “I’m feeling good at the moment and I don’t think my fitness will be a big problem for me.
“I’ve been through a decent recovery with the physios so I should be fine.
“I was pleased to get 90 minutes under my belt for the under-21s and hope I will be in the squad for Saturday.”
