Juventus’ first-choice goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, defender Alessandro Birindelli, midfielder Gianluca Zambrotta and strikers Marcelo Salas and Marco Di Vaio stayed in Turin when the team flew to Manchester today for their Group D game.

United lead the group on six points after winning their first two games with Juventus two points behind following a win and a draw.
