Venables resigned to Fowler departure

Leeds boss Terry Venables was tonight resigned to losing Robbie Fowler to Manchester City as he came to terms with his side’s defensive collapse at Stamford Bridge.

Shortly after Chelsea had completed a late comeback to secure a 3-2 triumph, Venables confirmed that Fowler would tomorrow decide whether to move to Maine Road.
