Liverpool survived a scrappy fourth round FA Cup tie to take Crystal Palace back to Anfield for a replay on Wednesday week in a match marred by a sickening collision between goalkeeper Chris Kirkland and Palace striker Dele Adebola.
Kirkland was taken to hospital for X-rays on what appeared to be a serious leg injury while Jerzy Dudek took over.
