Don Hutchison is set to make his return to international football when Scotland take on the Republic of Ireland next month.

Hutchison spent months on the sidelines with a serious cruciate ligament injury but Berti Vogts wants him to partner Stevie Crawford in the Euro 2004 qualifier against Iceland in place of the suspended Steven Thompson.

The Scotland boss is now hoping Hutchison will be given the chance to play for West Ham in Sunday's fourth-round FA Cup tie against Manchester United.
