Schmeichel missing for Man City

Manchester City will be without goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel for the game against Newcastle after he injured his thigh in training. Carlo Nash will deputise.

Eyal Berkovic remains troubled with a groin injury and is ruled out while Shaun Wright-Phillips will be absent because of a domestic matter.
