United duo doubtful

Roy Keane and Fabien Barthez are doubtful for Manchester United’s Worthington Cup semi-final first leg against Blackburn Rovers tomorrow.

Keane, just back from hip surgery which kept him out for four months, played only half of Saturday’s FA Cup win over Portsmouth before coming off with a tight hamstring. He was due to have a scan this morning and is unlikely to be risked.

United are also ready to turn to back-up goalkeeper Roy Carroll as Barthez continues to have treatment on the thigh strain which kept him out on Saturday.
