Longford host UCD in relegation battle

Longford Town host UCD at Flancare Park in a rearranged eircom League Premier Division relegation six-pointer this evening.

UCD are currently second-bottom and three points would put them level on points with tonight's opponents with just five games left to play.

Longford play all top five sides in the run-in, but College boss Paul Doolin says anything could still happen.

"I am not really interested in anybody else. I think we all have tough run-ins to be honest.

"Anybody on any given day is capable of beating anyone and that is the way it has been.

"The league is tight and to be honest I wouldn't be surprised if it got that little bit tighter."

Robert Doyle is suspended for the students, while Alan Matthew's is forced to plan without Brian Byrne who is recovering from illness. Kick-off there is at 7.30pm.
