Former Northern Ireland manager and player Bryan Hamilton has agreed to assist the FAI in the search for a new Republic of Ireland manager.

He will join Milo Corcoran, Kevin Fahy and John Delaney to complete the selection sub-committee.

Bryan Hamilton was capped 50 times for Northern Ireland during his time with the hugely successful Ipswich side of the 1970s.

In addition to managing the Northern Ireland side, his managerial and coaching career included periods with Leicester, Tranmere and Swindon. He holds an FA Advanced Coaching license.

Commenting on the decision to assist in the process, FAI president Milo Corcoran said that he and his colleagues, Kevin Fahy and John Delaney were delighted to have such a knowledgeable and experienced football person on board to assist them.

"Bryan has a wealth of experience, not just as a former international but he also has a great knowledge of the game," Mr Corcoran added.
