O'Neill encouraged Petrov may stay

Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has welcomed comments from Stilian Petrov’s agent suggesting the Bulgarian is ready to revive negotiations over a new contract.

Latchezar Tanev told the Press Association yesterday he was willing to reopen talks which broke down after the two parties initially failed to agree terms.
