Merson urges Bosnich compassion
Portsmouth's Paul Merson has called for compassion from football's authorities over troubled Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Bosnich.
Merson, 34, whose career was threatened by alcohol, drugs and gambling, has urged the Football Association to offer support to his former Aston Villa team-mate.
Bosnich was diagnosed with severe clincial depression days after he was widely reported as failing a routine drugs test.
