FAI President Milo Corcoran has indicated that the Genesis report could take up to 5 years to implement.

FAI President Milo Corcoran has indicated that the Genesis report could take up to 5 years to implement.

Speaking in Athens last night ahead of tonight’s friendly with Greece, Corcoran said the recommendations of the report, which outlines a radical overhaul of the Association, will take time to put in place.

It is a big night for a host of Ireland's fringe stars as Don Given’s makeshift side prepare to take on Greece in Athens. Glen Crowe of Bohemians, Richard Dunne of Manchester City and Leeds midfielder Stephen McPhail have all been handed the chance to impress by the caretaker manager.

It is also a big night for Manchester United youngster John O'Shea. He is set to start for the first time alongside skipper Kenny Cunningham in the heart of the defence.

Meanwhile, Philippe Troussier is the latest name to be linked to the Ireland manager’s job.

It is understood the Frenchman, who lead Japan to round 2 of the World Cup in the summer, will be interviewed by the FAI as the Association widens the net in search of Mick McCarthy's successor.

Troussier has also enjoyed spells with both Nigeria and South Africa.
