Berger worry for Reds
Liverpool will today check on midfielder Patrik Berger after the Czech midfielder suffered a knee injury in last night’s reserve encounter at Birmingham.
Berger, who has made just three first-team appearances this season, limped out of the Reds’ 2-0 defeat after twisting a knee in the first half.
Liverpool reserve boss Hughie McAuley told the club’s official website, www.liverpoolfc.tv: “Patrik had to come off in the first half because of the injury.
“He has twisted his knee and we will have a better idea of how long he will be out for when our medical team look at it.”
