The independent review ordered following Ireland's preparations for the World Cup is understood to blame the FAI for the events in Saipan which led to the departure of Roy Keane.

The Scottish company which carried out the review made their findings known to the FAI over the weekend, with the association due to meet tomorrow to discuss the revelations.

The report is believed to be highly critical of the FAI's preparations for the World Cup, particularly the delay in delivering kit, balls and medical supplies to the training camp in Saipan.

It was this delay which prompted the drama that led to Keane leaving the Irish squad and, eventually, to Mick McCarthy's resignation.
