Bohemians 1 Shelbourne 2

A late, late effort from Glen Crowe wasn't enough to prevent Bohemians from suffering their first defeat of the season, to Shelbourne, at Dalymount Park.

The visitors took the lead on 20 minutes. Glen Crowe was judged to have impeded Ollie Cahill in the Bohs box, and Dave Crawley duly despatched the spot kick.

Fergal Harkin could have put Bohs level minutes later, but his speculative effort was well dealt with by Steve Williams.

Bohemians had a number of opportunities in the second half to restore parity, most notably through Crowe and Paul Keegan, but they were left to rue their wastefulness when Stephen Geoghegan side-footed home a Richie Baker cross.

Crowe's last second strike notwithstanding, Bohs boss Stephen Kenny will have little to smile about on Friday night.
