Dundee United to name new manager

Dundee United are expected to announce the appointment of Paul Hegarty as manager later today.

The Tannadice club have called a press conference, which will be hosted by chairman Eddie Thompson, for 4pm today.

A three-hour meeting took place yesterday between the Dundee United chief and interim-boss Hegarty, who has led the Tayside club to two wins and a draw since taking over from sacked Alex Smith.
