Van's off the road

Ruud van Nistelrooy will miss Manchester United’s clash with Fulham tomorrow after suffering a recurrence of his hamstring problem.

The Dutch striker pulled out of international duty in midweek and has failed to overcome the problem which has plagued him for the past month.

Nicky Butt (ankle) is a doubt after picking up an injury on England duty but stand-in skipper David Beckham, who suffered a similar problem, trained today and will travel south for the Loftus Road encounter.
