England fans shot as supporters clash

Two England fans were wounded after fighting broke out between English and Slovakian supporters in Bratislava, on the eve of today’s Euro 2004 qualifier.

One man was left seriously injured and lying covered in blood in the doorway of the England team hotel – the Carlton Radisson – last night.
