Dundee United sack manager

Dundee United have sacked under-fire manager Alex Smith, according to Sky Sports News.

The Tannadice boss’ already-shaky future looked in even more doubt after his side slipped to the 11th place in the Scottish Premier League following their 2-1 defeat at Hibernian on Saturday and he has now paid the price for that dismal run.

Earlier today United confirmed they had called a 1pm press conference “to discuss the current managerial situation”.
