Aston Villa defender Mark Delaney is prepared to wait for his chance after losing his first-team spot to Ulises de la Cruz.

The Wales international was the club’s player of the year last season but is now struggling to gain a place after Villa manager Graham Taylor’s switch from a 4-4-2 to a 3-5-2 system.
