Fortune boost for United

Manchester United winger Quinton Fortune continued his comeback from Achilles trouble with a 70-minute appearance in last night’s Senior Cup win over Manchester City at Moss Lane.

The South African international eventually had to have an operation to rectify the problem, which he picked up during the World Cup but he came off the bench in Tuesday’s Champions League romp against Olympiakos and is expected to be part of the squad for Monday’s televised Premiership encounter with Everton at Old Trafford.
