Scholes happy with link-man role

Paul Scholes has claimed he is perfectly suited to the attacking role Alex Ferguson has earmarked for him this season.

Ferguson’s first experiment with the England midfielder went disastrously wrong last year as Scholes struggled to adjust to the demands of playing behind lone striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
