Blanc back for Champions League revenge mission

French defender Laurent Blanc has recovered from his ankle injury and flew to Germany with Manchester United today for their Champions League encounter with Bayer Leverkusen.

Blanc missed Saturday’s victory over Tottenham at Old Trafford but manager Sir Alex Ferguson was always confident the veteran stopper would be available to face the team who dumped the Red Devils out of last season’s competition at the semi-final stage.
