Lavine helps Longford to rousing win

Cork's away sickness continues as Eric Lavine hit a double to give Town a rousing win.

In a bright opening Lavine put Town in front after just four minutes.

Billy Woods shot City level four minutes later before Vinny Perth restored Town's lead with a 32nd minute penalty following a handball.

But City again hit back with Colin T. O'Brien equalising on the stroke of half-time.

The winner came four minutes after the break when Paddy Mulvihill put Lavine through to shoot past Michael Devine.
