Tottenham’s injury problems are reaching crisis level with 12 players out and German full back Christian Ziege the latest doubt ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Manchester United.

That has prompted manager Glenn Hoddle to add defender Ronnie Henry and midfielder Rohan Ricketts, both 19, to his squad.

Ziege is struggling with a calf injury while all three players who lined up with him in the back-four against West Ham last Sunday - Mauricio Taricco (groin), Chris Perry (knee) and Anthony Gardner (thigh) - are unavailable.

Dean Richards, however, should return after a shoulder injury and striker Les Ferdinand has shaken off an ankle problem - Hoddle’s only good news as he surveys a squad already missing the likes of Darren Anderton, Gus Poyet, Stephen Carr, Steffen Freund and Neil Sullivan.

Tottenham (provisional): Keller; Thatcher, Richards, Bunjevcevic, Davies, Redknapp, Etherington, Acimovic, Doherty, Sheringham, Keane, Ferdinand, Iversen, Blondel, Rebrov, Henry, Ricketts. Hirschfeld (gk).
