Dwight Yorke added to Blackburn's injury problems by limping out of the Uefa Cup draw with CSKA Sofia with a hamstring problem.

Yorke joins Andy Cole, who has the same injury, while Damien Duff, David Thompson and Matt Jansen are all either out of action or struggling for fitness.

After the 1-1 home draw, a daunting trip to the Bulgarian capital now awaits, but Souness' mind was on more immediate problems ahead of Sunday's visit by Leeds.

He said: "We have lost our two top men up front and we had problems in other areas with injuries.

"Craig Short and Henning Berg both have back problems, Andy has his hamstring and then the worst thing happened which could possibly have happened when Dwight had to come off with another hamstring.

"It's major problem for us. He doesn't think he has damaged it but he did feel it and that's a concern.

"I still think we had enough out there to win the game and the tie is far from over.

"It was disappointing to have all that ball and not cause them more problems. We had a lot of possession and didn't do too much with it."

CSKA coach Stoicho Mladenov thought his side could even have won the game when their speedy South African striker Macdonald Mukasi was denied by Brad Friedel's save.

Mladenov said: "It was a fair result. Even though Blackburn controlled the game for long spells there were times when we controlled it too.

"We could even have won it when Mukasi had a chance to score one-on-one but their goalkeeper made a very good save."
